Dallas Photographer, Jeff Smith got his start in photography in the motion picture industry. He has learned lighting and composition from some of the best cinematographers in the nation in his nearly ten years experience filming in the Dallas and Fort Worth area. This experience became the inspiration for his photography career in Dallas .

Specializing in family portraits, he also photographs weddings, bar mitzvahs and bat mitzvahs, and some commercial work. Jeff has been associated with North Dallas Photography for over two years. Jeff is a member of the Texas Professional Photographers Association.

In an effort to continually improve the quality of his work, Jeff has twice attended the Texas School for Professional Photographers. One of the largest and most popular of its kind, The Texas School for Professional Photographers is a week long intensive training program, which draws both students and instructors from around the world. He has studied Black & White Portraiture and, more recently, Environmental Portraiture, which leans away from traditional studio photography.
